Produced by the Downtown Carlisle Association and chaired by Larenda Twigg of the Carlisle Vault, the event has continued to draw more people to downtown Carlisle each year.   “The event has been very well received by both business owners and the community.” Stated Twigg.  She points out that the original goal was for 50 ice sculptures, but the Festival boasted over 70 last year.

Most sculptures will be pre-carved and delivered by Ice Concepts from Hatfield PA.   Other showcase sculptures will include an Ice Throne and an Ice Memorial Wall located at the Square, a working Ice Bar sponsored and located on the patio at the Comfort Suites and other interactive sculptures throughout downtown.

SNOWFLAKES GALORE
As the logo for the Ice Art Fest is a snowflake, the DCA has purchased 50 new giant snowflakes lights in 2018 that will go on the Hanover and High Square street lamps for the event.  "They are the perfect light displays for Ice Art and will give the downtown square a great winter glow while guests enjoy this winter festival” stated Nathan Tuckey, President of the DCA.
